Fort Lauderdale residents seeking more grocery options are about to get exactly that!
Within minutes of the downtown district, there will soon be 3 additional choices – Whole Foods Market, Publix Greenwise (natural and organics focused) and Aldi. Here’s a rundown of each:
Whole Foods Market (501 SE 17th Street) – As the second in Fort Lauderdale, this 47,000 square foot location is at the intersection of Federal Highway and 17th St, 2 miles south of Las Olas Blvd and downtown. Located on the lower floors of the mid-rise CURV Apartment Rental Community, parking is available in the covered parking garage also within the building. The store will include a coffee bar featuring cold-brew, nitro tea, wine and beer.
Publix Greenwise (225 E Las Olas Blvd) – In the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale and directly on Las Olas Blvd, the upcoming Publix Greenwise (known for its focus on organic and natural food products) is on the ground floor of the Main Las Olas – A 1.4 million square foot mixed use property combining twin towers of office, residential and retail into a single interconnected structure sitting on an entire city block of 3 acres.
Aldi (100 W Sunrise Blvd) – This grocery giant is known for its extremely discounted prices and no-frills store designs. Some of the reasons prices are so low: Most products are private-label, store sizes and hours are limited and grocery carts must be rented. The chain has been on an expansion craze in the US within recent years and this is the first discount grocery store within a few minutes of downtown. Located on Sunrise Blvd just west of Home Depot.
